The group will discuss the various rule variations employed in different countries. These rules require the contestants to think for themselves and not rely on stock openings as is the case in Chess. In addition others are required because of the need to encompass the different topologies of the various Underground networks.

In will also serve as a forum for discussing the various strategies employed by world class players such as Tim Brooke-Taylor and the late, great, Willie Rushton.

Finally it will serve as a medium for playing the game itself.
