uk.music.folk is for discussion of folk/roots/acoustic music in and
from the UK. Defining folk music has always been a precarious task and
most of us who are into this kind of music have very catholic tastes
which are reflected by the booking policies of most clubs. Therefore
this group covers a broad range of tastes within that genre and
embraces all those types of music that you would expect to hear in a
folk - folk/blues club in the UK.
